Applications are now open for the Summer 2023 Legal Justice Fellowship Program! Read on to learn more, and apply today!

The Arkansas Appleseed Legal Justice Fellowship program provides opportunities for current graduate and law students with an interest in advancing Arkansas Appleseed’s mission to increase justice and opportunity for all Arkansans by developing and advancing inclusive, collective, and systemic solutions to complex issues.

The Legal Justice Fellowship was designed to address the gaps in the professional development of law students across the state.

Our first fellow was Claire Cockrell, a concurrent degree student. You can read more about her here, and some of her work on heirs’ property here.

In summer 2022, we extended our fellowship program to a multi-state cohort through the Appleseed Network. This served as a proof-of-concept that we intend to bring home strong through future opportunities in Arkansas. Check out the video below that made its debut at our first annual Celebration of Growth!

This video reflects upon and celebrates key outputs and outcomes of the first Appleseed Network fellow/intern cohort, which was led by Arkansas Appleseed in summer 2022. Footage is derived from the Zoom session recordings, and any music is released under the Pixabay License.
